Canon Powershot Digital Cameras
Canon Powershot digital cameras are, (like the Canon IXUS digital cameras), compact cameras, but there is much more choice within this range. At the lower end of the range, the cameras are suitable for beginners who are new to digital cameras or for people who want to produce great photos very easily. A good example of an easy digital camera to use is the Powershot A580. This camera includes an Easy Mode function that uses (new for 2008) motion detection technology to reduce blurring. At the top end of the range are the more complex and advanced compact digital cameras such as the Canon G7 or the newer Canon G9, which offers 25 shooting modes, including full manual control. If photography is your hobby, you may find that the more advanced Canon powershot digital cameras offer a great alternative to a basic Canon digital SLR.
