Until relatively recently, we were all taking our photographs using celluloid film and then paying a company to develop that film for us. After an impatient wait of 7 days or so, we would get back our 24 or 36 photographs and, Oh, the disappointment! Those treasured moments we were anxious to re-live and share with family and friends, were not as we remembered them. Out of focus, too dark, too light, red eyes, chopped off heads - if we were lucky, there might be 5 photographs worth keeping. A huge waste of money!
